Do you want to make a difference in the lives of hundreds of people with intellectual disabilities in York County? Be a volunteer for The Arc of York County!

Friday Front Desk Volunteer
Welcome visitors and answer incoming calls. Provide outstanding customer service to all clients, visitors, staff, and volunteers. Respond to inquiries by providing information and directing visitors to appropriate resources.  Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older. 
 
After School Options Program Volunteers
Help students with intellectual and other disabilities (ages 13-21) with activities from August to June. This opportunity is available to two to three individuals on a daily basis with one to three hours of volunteering per day. Volunteers must be 15 years of age or older.

Adult Recreation Program Volunteers
Assist individuals with intellectual or physical disabilities in activities from October to May. This opportunity is available to an unlimited number of volunteers. The Adult Rec Club meets on the every Tuesday for three hours of fun and games. Volunteers must be high school graduates.

Rail Trail 10-Miler Volunteers
Special Event volunteers are needed to assist the day the Annual York 10-Miler in August. Positions include such things as, set-up and tear-down, helping with refreshments, activities, staffing The Arc's information table and more. Volunteers must be high school students or older.

Clerical Assistance
Various times during the year, The Arc of York County needs help with bulk mailing projects, filing, covering the reception area and answering phones, and other light clerical work. Volunteers must be able to work independently during The Arc's office hours.

Third Party Fundraisers
The Arc of York County relies heavily on the support of the York community and community-minded individuals to help meet our program needs. Third party fundraisers are events organized by volunteers and supporters of The Arc of York County. Volunteer your time to raise funds through events, such as, carwashes, bake sales, yard sales, penny wars, dances, etc.

Camp Pennwood Volunteers
Volunteers are needed to assist campers (ages 6-21) during our 6-week summer day camp. Our campers enjoy age-appropriate activities such as arts & crafts, archery, swimming, horseback riding and musical activities. Volunteers are also needed to prepare camp for the start of the camp season.
