FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

York Road Runners Partners with The Arc of York & Adams Counties to Direct the 2025 Rail Trail 10-Miler

York, PA — February 11, 2025— The York Road Runners Club and The Arc of York & Adams Counties are thrilled to announce a dynamic partnership for the Rail Trail 10-Miler this summer. This annual event, which brings together runners from across the region, will be directed by the York Road Runners Club to enhance community engagement and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The Rail Trail 10-Miler, known for its scenic route along the historic York County Heritage Rail Trail, has become a beloved tradition in the local running community. This partnership marks an exciting new chapter, aligning the race’s mission with The Arc’s commitment to fostering inclusion, advocacy, and empowerment.

“We are honored to partner with The Arc of York & Adams Counties for the 2025 Rail Trail 10-Miler,” said Heather Roe, President of the York Road Runners Club. “This collaboration allows us to not only deliver a premier running event but also to make a meaningful impact in our community by supporting an organization that champions inclusivity and opportunity.”

Proceeds from the 2025 Rail Trail 10-Miler will continue to benefit The Arc of York & Adams Counties, helping to fund vital programs and services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Participants and supporters will have the opportunity to contribute to this important cause while enjoying a well-organized and memorable race experience.

“Partnering with the York Road Runners Club is a wonderful opportunity to continue to connect with the community though this event,” said Jim Poster, Associate Executive Director of The Arc of York & Adams Counties. “This partnership embodies the spirit of inclusion, teamwork, and shared purpose, and we can’t wait to see the positive impact it will have.”

The 2025 Rail Trail 10-Miler is set to take place on August 23, 2025, with registration opening soon.  Runners of all levels are invited to participate, and sponsorship opportunities will be available for businesses and organizations eager to support this inspiring collaboration.
