Advocate- Full Time
The Arc of York County is hiring a full-time Advocate to provide assistance to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.  The ideal candidate will have an understanding of educational and legal issues affecting people with disabilities and be able to provide assistance in those areas as well as housing, service acquisition, transportation, and employment.  Knowledge of state and federal regulations pertinent to intellectual/developmental disabilities is also important.  Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.  Two years experience working with people with disabilities required.

Development Coordinator- Full Time
The Arc of York County is seeking a full-time Development Coordinator.  This position will report to the Director of Development and will assist in the planning and implementing of all fundraising and special event activities, as well as community relations.  Will also assist in grant writing.
Candidates must have at least three years experience in development and fundraising in a non-profit setting.  Must possess excellent communication and public speaking skills, including the ability to work in a communicative, interactive, and team-based setting.  Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, establish and meet deadlines.  Must have the ability to engage donors and prospects verbally and in writing with sincerity and enthusiasm.
Must be proficient in MS Office Suite programs including, MS Word, Access, and Excel.  Proficiency with donor databases and Adobe Illustrator preferred.

Camp Pennwood Cook- Part Time Seasonal
The Arc of York County's Camp Pennwood is currently hiring a cook for the 2018 season.  Camp will run from June-August 2018.  Must be able to work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:30 AM.  This day camp serves 40-50 campers per day who range from 6-21 years old. 
Responsibilities include:
  • Prepare and serve hot/cold lunch every day
  • Prepare and provide an alternate sandwich every day
  • Create a take home menu for each camper for the entirety of camp
  • Order/purchase food necessary for the duration of camp within the budget provided from approved retailers
  • Prepare and serve an afternoon snack
  • Provide a portable beverage to be taken with groups to the pool two times a week
  • Wash/sanitize dishes and maintain a clean kitchen
  • Abide by ALL dietary concerns/restrictions for all campers

Billing Clerk/Receptionist- Part Time
The Arc of York County is hiring a part-time receptionist who will also assist with billing duties.  Hours will be 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.  Must be flexible as days will vary but will typically include Fridays.  20 hours per week.  Previous office experience required.

Employment Training Specialist- Full Time
Provides job placement and on-the-job training to people with disabilities.  Experience working with people with disabilities a plus.  Must have reliable transportation and pass background checks.  Must also be able to work a flexible schedule.
High school diploma or GED required.  Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.  Must be able to work independently.

Direct Support Professional - Part Time
Positions open for habilitation, companion, and respite services for adults with developmental disabilities in the York/Hanover area. The Arc provides support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in order to assist them in having maximum opportunities to actively participate in all aspects of community life and to offer programs and services that support them in doing so.

Essential job duties include, but are not limited to:
Assume overall care of individual with intellectual/developmental disability. For some individuals, it will include medical care and for others it will not include any medical care at all. Duties may include assuring the person's safety, assistance with feeding, bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility/ambulation; preparing food and housekeeping. For some individuals it will include medical care. For some it will include occasional local transportation.

High school diploma or GED required. Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Must be able to pass all background checks. Must be able to work independently. Related experience a plus.

Cleaning Crew Member - Part Time

The Arc is currently hiring to fill cleaning positions on a mobile cleaning crew covering the York area. Part-time hours mostly second shift with some first shift.
